Compassion was at the heart of Jesus’ ministry. In the Urantia Book, we see that Jesus never turned away from those in need. Whether it was the sick, the poor, or the outcast, Jesus approached each person with deep empathy, meeting them where they were and offering healing, hope, and understanding.
Jesus taught that true compassion goes beyond mere sympathy. It calls for action, for stepping into another’s shoes and offering tangible help. He demonstrated that compassion requires seeing the divine value in every person, regardless of their circumstances. Jesus did not judge or condemn; instead, he embraced the opportunity to bring comfort and peace to those who were suffering.
His acts of compassion were not limited to physical healing. Jesus also reached out to those who were spiritually lost, offering forgiveness and a chance for redemption. His kindness broke down barriers, showing that love and mercy are the foundations of the Kingdom of Heaven.
As we reflect on Jesus’ compassion, we are reminded to open our hearts to others, especially those who are struggling. In a world that can often feel harsh and indifferent, we have the opportunity to follow Jesus’ example by extending kindness, empathy, and support to those in need.
