Jesus and the Value of Humility

One of the most profound lessons from Jesus’ life is the power of humility. Although he had every reason to claim status, authority, and reverence as the Son of God, Jesus chose a life of humility, always placing others above himself. In the Urantia Book, we see that Jesus never sought personal glory or recognition. Instead, he lived as a servant to all, showing that true spiritual strength comes from being humble before God and others.

Jesus taught that those who exalt themselves will be humbled, but those who humble themselves will be lifted by God. He emphasized that humility is not about self-degradation, but about recognizing our role in the larger divine plan. By humbling ourselves, we open our hearts to greater spiritual growth, allowing God to work through us more fully.

His humility was evident in every aspect of his life—from the way he treated his disciples to his interactions with the marginalized and outcast. Even when faced with criticism and rejection, Jesus remained gentle, patient, and forgiving, demonstrating the deep inner strength that comes from humility.

As we reflect on Jesus’ life, we are reminded that humility allows us to see beyond ourselves and focus on the needs of others. It helps us stay connected to God, understanding that true greatness is found in serving others with love and compassion.
