The Joy of Service

Jesus’ life was a living example of selfless service. He showed us that true greatness is not found in power or wealth but in the willingness to serve others with love and humility. In the Urantia Book, we see how Jesus continually sought out those in need, whether they were the poor, the sick, or the lonely, offering them comfort, healing, and hope.

Jesus taught that service is the highest form of love. When we serve others, we are serving God, and we are contributing to the growth of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. His message was clear: the path to spiritual greatness lies in putting others before ourselves, in loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.

What makes Jesus’ approach to service so powerful is that he served without expecting anything in return. His acts of kindness and compassion were not motivated by the desire for recognition or reward but were simply expressions of the love that filled his heart. He showed us that when we give of ourselves freely and generously, we experience true joy—the joy that comes from knowing we are living in harmony with God’s will.

As we reflect on Jesus’ life of service, let us be inspired to seek out opportunities to serve those around us. Whether in small or big ways, every act of kindness, every moment of compassion, helps make the world a better place and brings us closer to God.
